The distribution law and coupling factors of debris flows in the G318 Linzhi–Lhasa section of the Sichuan–Tibet traffic corridor

In recent years, debris flow disasters have occurred frequently along the highway, causing river blockages and road interruptions, which seriously threaten safety of people's lives property. Highway G318 is an important throat project linking Sichuan Tibet; at same time, it channel for economic development Tibet transportation national defense materials. Taking Linzhi–Lhasa Section as example, this study analyses distribution law characteristics coupling factors flows in area (under its topographical, hydrometeorological, geological, structural conditions) using remote sensing interpretation, field surveys, mathematical statistics. The research shows that: (1) types quantity region show statistical laws under slope, slope aspect, drainage area, gradient gully. vegetation coverage upper reaches Nyang River valley gradually decreases, average disaster density 0.529/km, most densely distributed flow. (2) regional narrow valleys greater than that wide valleys, those basin are Lhasa basin. (3) By comparing tectonic geological map map, was found controlled by faults, 71% basins faults. (4) There a significant positive correlation between material source gully, well close rainfall fault density, negative area. Due to unique topography geomorphology different regions, difference meteorology hydrology occurred. This further affected topography, geomorphology, disasters. Based on environmental factors, provides strong support prevention related research.
